2025, 6-Month Impact Report for United Help Ukraine

6-Month Impact Report for United Help Ukraine

Our President, Dr. Maryna Baydyuk recently returned from a nation defiantly alive despite daily bombardments, massive destruction, and the tragedy of so many innocent lives lost. But she also saw the fruits of our hard work over the last six months – work that could not have been done without supporters like you!

Together, we are having an impact and giving hope.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, 16 psychologists and social workers were awarded certificates after completing a three-month, WHO-certified PM+ training through our REBOOT Initiative. In Vinnytsia, we launched another Problem Management Plus (PM+) session for 18 therapists.

These efforts ensure resilience centers in both regions now have trained professionals to support those facing trauma, displacement, and loss – especially vital after U.S. funding for such services was cut earlier this year.

International Center for Tactical Medicine Meeting in Lviv

In Lviv, Maryna Baydyuk met with commanders of the National Academy of the National Guard to discuss the importance for strong combat medical training.

Instructors at UHU’s International Center for Tactical Medicine were awarded medals for their professionalism and for teaching life-saving courses to graduating officers – 90% of whom are heading to the frontlines.

Over the first half of 2025, we strengthened our logistics capabilities and expanded support for our three key aid programs: Defender’s Aid, Humanitarian Welfare, and Medical Aid. In May, we opened the United Help Ukraine Aid Hub, boosting our ability to quickly receive and deliver essential supplies.

Maryna’s trip was just the capstone of six months of growth and national recognition for United Help Ukraine – made possible by your support and the dedication of our team.

We’re proud to have received a 100% rating from Charity Navigator and the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid – two of the highest honors for a U.S. nonprofit, reflecting our commitment to transparency and impact.

On behalf of our entire team and partners in the United States, Ukraine, and Germany, THANK YOU for being such an important part of all we do!
