Medical Aid

ABOUT PROGRAM

The Wounded Warrior Program, part of the Medical Aid Program, supports travel to the U.S. for treatment of Ukrainian wounded soldiers. The United Help Ukraine focuses on those amputee defenders who are not available for treatment in Ukraine. The enhanced treatment, prosthetics, and recovery became possible in a partnership with Medical Center Orthotics and Prosthetics in Silver Spring, MD. We also offer housing, transportation, entertainment, and emotional support to those who have sacrificed so much fighting for their country. The Washington Post highlights this initiative with the heartbreaking story of the defender after captive.

“By providing emotional support to our brave warriors, United Help Ukraine is giving these soldiers a piece of home while they are receiving life-saving treatment here in the US.” Maryna Baydyuk, President, UHU.

The Ukrainian Wounded Soldiers We Support Under This Initiative:
•  Defenders, who got crucial wounds in war.
•  Wounded soldiers-amputees after or during captives and tortures.
•  Warriors, who were damaged due to the long wait for first aid.

What does it mean to help wounded warriors and give them a chance to tackle such a huge challenge?

Learn the breathtaking story of Ukrainian defender and former barista Dmytro, who received aid under this initiative. Furthermore, Ukrainian defenders with prosthetics run 49th Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC.
