Two years ago, United Help Ukraine partnered with AVP – Akzeptanz, Vertrauen, Perspektive e.V. to establish UkraineHilfe Düsseldorf — a hub for humanitarian aid to Ukraine and support for Ukrainian refugees in Germany. Located in the heart of Europe, UkraineHilfe Düsseldorf has become a trusted center for in-kind donations and raising awareness, providing vital assistance to the most vulnerable people in war-torn Ukraine:
On average: 2 trucks of humanitarian and medical aid delivered every month
Since 2023: 35 trucks of aid delivered
Total impact: $1.5M worth of aid
We are deeply grateful for our partnership over the past two years and proud of the humanitarian and medical aid we’ve been able to provide together for hundreds of thousands of people. This collaboration not only supports those affected by the war but also strengthens the connection between Ukraine, the United States, and Germany — proving that real impact is possible across borders.

For 23 years, Akzeptanz, Vertrauen, Perspektive e.V. (AVP) has worked to promote a cosmopolitan, tolerant, and solidary society across Germany.
This dedicated German charity, with offices in cities like Düsseldorf, Berlin, and Hamburg focuses on the following areas of work:
Democracy Promotion: Running innovative programs like streetwork@online and AwareNet to prevent extremism and counter online radicalization, often utilizing AI.
Education & Youth Welfare: Implementing diverse offers for young people, families, and professionals to foster social justice and equal opportunities.
Humanitarian Aid: Providing essential support, including specific actions to aid cities like Chernivtsi, Ukraine.
AVP’s backbone is over 100 professionals who champion democratic values and human rights. The organization focuses its efforts entirely within Germany, in close cooperation with regional partners. Learn more about recent updates and programs in progress.
A new wave of medical and humanitarian aid has arrived in Chernivtsi, bringing critical support to hospitals and families in need.
Thanks to our partnership with AVP – Akzeptanz, Vertrauen, Perspektive e.V. and UkraineHilfe Düsseldorf, key medical centers in the region received essential supplies:
City Children’s Hospital: 3 modern infant monitors, children’s beds, rehabilitation equipment
City Clinical Hospital: electric beds, medical furniture, exercise machines & equipment
“Turbota” Center: hygiene and cleaning supplies, household appliances, and more
Support also included equipment for newborns from Stadt Düsseldorf, school furniture, rehabilitation supplies, toys, gifts, school backpacks for first graders, hygiene and cleaning supplies, pet food, and much more to support the wonderful city of Chernivtsi.
This equipment will help doctors improve the health of thousands of patients in Chernivtsi.
