17th Annual Roll Call of Nations Wreath Laying Ceremony

United Help Ukraine had the pleasure of attending the 17th Annual Roll Call of Nations Wreath Laying Ceremony & Presentation of the Dissident Human Rights Award on June 14th, taking place at the Victims of Communism Memorial.

The ceremony was joined by representatives from embassies, delegations, and ethnic and human rights organizations to lay down wreaths and honor the memory of the more than 100 million victims of communism. Dr. Katrina Lantos Swett was presented with the Dissident Human Rights Award, serving as the President of the Lantos Foundation for Human Rights and Justice. UHU’s President Maryna Baydyuk represented the organization and the Ukrainian-American community at the ceremony.

This was truly an important event, emphasizing the importance of honoring the memory of the victims of communism and uniting communities from across the globe in standing against totalitarian regimes.

We thank the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation for their invitation to participate in this event.
Everyone who would like to contribute to the raising awareness initiative is very welcome at our events, webinars, and social media pages!
