Yesterday’s event was a testament to the unwavering support for Ukraine, with thousands joining us at the Lincoln Memorial.
We were privileged to hear from esteemed leaders of Ukrainian American organizations, including Maryna Baydyuk, President of United Help Ukraine; Nadiya Shaporinskaya, President of US Ukrainian Activists; Dora Chomiak, President of Razom for Ukraine; Andrew Futey, President of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America; and Pavlo Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress.
Special guests, including Uzra Zeya from the Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights; Scott Nathan, CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation; Erin McKee, USAID – US Agency for International Development Assistant Administrator; Jovita Neliupsiene, EU Ambassador to the US; Congressman Jamie Raskin, Representative of Maryland’s 8th district; and Her Excellency Ambassador Oksana Markarova, Ukrainian Ambassador to the US, shared insightful perspectives on the importance of supporting Ukrainians in their fight for freedom and sovereignty, highlighting the impact on global democracy. We were truly honored and thank them for joining us!
Special thanks to Volodymyr Sukhin for his moving performance of the American and Ukrainian national anthems, and to the VODA band for their uplifting Ukrainian songs.
