As air raid sirens replace school bells and basement bomb shelters become makeshift classrooms, children in Ukraine lack a safe space for learning, playing, and growing. We at United Help Ukraine refuse to let this be their reality. We envisioned a classroom in a bomb shelter, where hope still thrives.
United Help Ukraine teamed up with Deloitte to make a difference and transform repurposed bomb shelters into spaces of warmth, learning, and play.
Thanks to the incredible support from our generous donors, we received all of the necessary supplies to fill 200 comfort boxes for preschool and elementary children. Each box, worth ~$300, contains cozy blankets, sensory toys, crayons, puzzles, and classic games to bring a sense of comfort and security in times of fear.
One of our recipients was the “School for Superheroes”, a school for severely ill children who seek long-term medical care. They must live, study, and hide from air raids in shelters of the hospital.
Your support has played a crucial role in transforming this situation, and together, we continue to provided solace and happiness to Ukrainian children affected by war. We are incredibly thankful for your support.
