Led by Major General (Ret.) Volodymyr Havrylov, Team Ukraine successfully completed The Cateran Yomp 2026 — 54 miles (87 kilometers) across the Scottish Highlands. Less than 24 hours. One mission: keep moving forward.
For these wounded Ukrainian defenders, every mile represented far more than distance. It embodied resilience, courage, recovery, and the unbreakable spirit that defines Ukraine.
Yomp is an internationally recognized endurance challenge that brings together military personnel, veterans, and civilian participants from around the world to test their physical and mental limits across one of Scotland’s most demanding routes.
Having completed Yomp DC in the fall, team Ukraine continued their journey in Scotland.
United Help Ukraine was honored to once again serve as an official sponsor of Team Ukraine through our Wounded Warrior Project, helping make this extraordinary journey possible.
“We are proud to support Ukrainian defenders beyond U.S.-based sporting events and create opportunities for them to take part in challenges across Europe,” said Maryna Baydyuk, President and Executive Director of United Help Ukraine. “Symbolizing endurance and strength, Yomp provides the perfect stage for Ukraine’s defenders to demonstrate not only their resilience and determination, but also the enduring spirit of Ukraine itself.”
Thank you to everyone who stands with us and supports opportunities for Ukrainian veterans to rebuild confidence, push boundaries, and continue their recovery journey.
Special thanks to our supporters — your generosity brings hope, healing, and renewed purpose to those who sacrificed so much in defense of freedom, a just peace, and the lives of millions.
