UHU Spoke at the U.S. Helsinki Commission Briefing on Ecocide in Ukraine!

On Tuesday, our President & Executive Director, Maryna Baydyuk, participated in a panel discussion at the U.S. Capitol alongside Eugene Z Stakhiv and Kristina Hook.

The U.S. Helsinki Commission’s briefing highlighted the immense environmental devastation caused by Russia, its impacts on the people of Ukraine and its natural environment, and the complex challenges in holding Russia accountable.

Maryna shared insights on UHU’s efforts and how local communities can be empowered to tackle these critical issues.
