SPEAKERS:
Aleksandr (Sashko) Krapivkin originally immigrated from Kharkiv, Ukraine to Chicago. Sashko holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Fine Arts in Acting. They are based in New York City, having performed at Lincoln Center, Off Broadway, at regional theatres, and overseas. Recently, you could have seen Sashko hosting and performing at concerts raising funds for humanitarian aid at events like SXSW and Eurovision. Sashko is the Associate Director of Community Engagement at Nova Ukraine, a Board Member of the American Coalition for Ukraine, and a co-founder of Klych where they coordinated over 65 cities in the US for rallies.
Mykola Murskyj is Director of Razom’s Advocacy Team. Before coming to Razom, Mykola was an International Affairs Specialist at the Department of Justice Criminal Division and a program analyst at the U.S. Secret Service. Previously, Mykola was a Managing Editor of the Harvard Kennedy School Review and a U.S. Presidential Management Fellow. He was also a lecturer at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Ukraine, in the Program on Ethics, Politics, and Economics. He holds degrees in physics from MIT and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, and in international affairs from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Mykola also serves as Archivist for the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus.
MODERATOR:
Dr. Maryna Baydyuk, born in Kyiv, Ukraine, has successfully led United Help Ukraine as a Board Director since 2017 and as President since 2019. She has received several prestigious honors both domestically and internationally, including the Order of Merit, 3rd Class, presented by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Furthermore, Dr. Baydyuk is a Research Professor in the Department of Biology at Georgetown University, where her work focuses on understanding the mechanisms of function and repair in the central nervous system, and where she leads advanced research on discovering novel drug treatments for multiple sclerosis.
