The Boy Scout Troop and UHU volunteers work together to help Ukraine

Last Sunday, Nicholas Flanigan’s Boy Scout Troop along with United Help Ukraine Volunteers came together to pack non-perishables, baby food, diapers, and first-aid supplies, and The Boy Scout Troop was able to distribute 3,500 flyers asking for additional food donations in the surrounding neighborhoods. Today, UHU volunteers and the Troop gathered once again to pick up and package the additional food and supplies that were donated by the surrounding neighborhoods as a result of the flyers! This is one of a series of food drives that United Help Ukraine has started, and we will cover all of the shipping costs in order to distribute these to families across Ukraine. Fairfax Church of Christ has generously been allowing us to use their facility for these donations, and we are extremely grateful for them!

We thank everyone who has volunteered their time and resources to help this initiative, and we especially emphasize the incredible work that The Boy Scout Troop has done in spreading the word about these drives to allow us to collect so many donations!
