Your Christmas gifts are on the way to Ukraine!

We want to provide an update on our project “Christmas gifts” for children. The weekend before Thanksgiving, four of our UHU volunteers gathered to pack gifts and prepare for the shipping. It took them over 6 hours to sort the presents and pack them into 18 boxes. In addition to the gifts purchased on Amazon, we received monetary donations toward this initiative, and we used these funds to buy more shoes, clothes, and toys for the total sum of $1630.
On the following Monday, a truck from Ukraine Express came to pick up our 18 boxes of toys and clothes. All boxes were shipped via air and will be delivered to our four trusted volunteers in Ukraine to be distributed and presented to the kids right on time for Sviaty Mykolai Day.
There were 5 wish lists on Amazon for 124 children. Accordingly, the gifts were packed into boxes to be delivered to 5 groups of children:
– 6 boxes to be delivered to 22 children of Fallen or Wounded Brody Pilots;
– 5 boxes for 37 children from “Kramatorsk Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation”;
– 5 boxes with gifts for 18 kids from the military base “Desna” and 29 kids from Rehabilitation center “Point Zero” for single mothers;
– 2 boxes for 18 children of Fallen and Wounded Ukrainian Heroes from Mykolaiv Region.
Thank you to everyone who purchased the gifts, donated money, packed the gifts, and shared details about this project! It is because of you – already 4 years in a row — we are able to make this little holiday magic and bring joy to the kids in Ukraine!
Huge THANK YOU to Ukraine Express for arranging the pickup and thank you for supporting us for the past 4 years with this initiative!
