Support Ukrainian Wounded Warriors at Marine Corps Marathon

On October 22nd, 2017 a team of ten wounded Ukrainian soldiers will take part in the 42nd Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) in Washington D.C.

Join us on Sunday October 22nd, to Support Ukrainian Wounded Warriors who will run in the 42nd US Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC.
They were wounded in the Russian War in Ukraine, but their spirit and faith are stronger than ever. This year the Ukrainian team will participate in both 10k and 42k races!
10 km will run:

42 km to run:
Mykola Rudyk,
Yegor Terekhov,
Oleksandr Malanich,
Oleksandr Chalapchii (Sasha will overcome the distance on a handcycle)
Please come to support and cheer for our Heroes! Bring Ukrainian flags on a pole (to be visible from far away!), wear Ukrainian colors, lovely head bands, traditional clothes if weather permits. Let’s make it visible and loud! Let’s make sure our Heroes feel Ukrainians in Washington DC support them!

The participation of the Ukrainian team in MCM 2017 is supported by the Allied Forces Foundation (AFF) charity, Administration of the President of Ukraine, Office of NATO in Kyiv, Ukrainian Association of Disabled Participants of ATO, various volunteer groups in Ukraine and the US.
The Ukrainian American community from Rochester, NY has raised funds to cover transportation expenses for the Ukrainian warriors during their stay in Washington D.C.

The 42nd MCM starts with the wheelchair and hand cycle division at 7:45AM.
MCM 42K begins at 7:55AM in Arlington, VA.
MCM 10K also starts at 7:55AM on the National Mall.
