The 26th Ukrainian Independence Day celebration

Yesterday, on a beautiful sunny Sunday, the DC area Ukrainians and friends came to the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church to celebrate the 26th Ukraine’s Independence Day. The solemn ceremony honored the heroes who gave their lives to Ukraine’s Freedom, the soldiers who, at this very moment, defend Ukraine on the front lines.
We celebrated the Ukrainian joyful spirit and beautiful culture with Ukrainian dances and songs, food tasting, jokes and lively socializing with old and new friends.

United Help Ukraine would like to thank the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church for organizing the event and inviting us to participate. We thank everyone who stopped by our table and asked us about UHU’s activities and help we provide to Ukraine’s hospitals, soldiers at the front lines, and to Ukraine’s war veterans.
We are very grateful for the generous donations we received yesterday! Through souvenir sales and donations, we collected yesterday $1828 in cash and checks. In addition, we got 2 full bags of t-shirts and socks for soldiers. 100% of the proceeds and donated goodies will go to benefit Ukrainian soldiers.

Glory to Ukraine!
